1971 GMC Sprint

The new 1971 GMC Sprint was very similar to the El Camino. This rare GM photo shows emblems and emblem placements that were are different from the actual production vehicles. The production version of the 1971-1972 GMC Sprint did not have engine-size emblems on the fenders. The "GMC/SPRINT" fender emblems were actually located lower on the fenders than this photo implies. The GMC Sprint did come with engine-size emblems on the front grilles, but they were also placed a bit lower than this photo shows.
